The bestselling Ethan Frost series introduces a tantalizing new hero—and the broken woman only he can save. Discover why Beth Kery once declared that readers of Tracy Wolff will “fall in love under the spell of a master.”
When Tori Reed loses everything, he sets her free.
I told myself I’d never trust Miles Girard, no matter how brilliant or sexy he may be. His sister, Chloe—Ethan Frost’s wife—is my best friend, but I know just how low Miles will stoop to get what he wants. Now he’s the last thing I want: my boss.
Growing up, I had it all—except for the sense that I belonged. And when a mistake from my past surfaces in the press, my parents don’t hesitate to cut me off.
But surprisingly, Miles offers me a helping hand.
Before I know it, our relationship turns unprofessional in the hottest ways. Of course, he still drives me crazy. But when I’m dealt the ultimate blow, Miles is there for me. And maybe he’s the one I’ve been looking for all along.

I read my first Tracy Wolff book, Accelerate, last year and fell in love! So, when I saw Flawed, I grabbed it right away. I hadn’t read the previous Ethan Frost books. Its not necessary really, but I do plan to go back. The events mentioned sound really interesting.

Tori, our heroine, is your classic ‘poor little rich girl’ with a trust fund to boot. She is Chloe Frost’s BFF. Tori has recently graduated college and is trying to clean up her life. She plans to drink and party less, and find a job. A run in with an ex boyfriend (who happens to be a famous actor) quickly puts a wrench in her plans. The hero is Miles, who is Chloe’s brother. Tori and Miles hate each other. Tori holds Miles responsible for something that happen to Chloe in the past and she does not hide her disdain.

I thought the conflict of this story is an important current cultural issue. Tori is slut shamed when an ex releases a sex tape. Wolff does a good job of exploring the struggles Tori goes through due to the ex’s callous behavior. She is ashamed, angry, despondent, and lost. She has to decide if she should hide until some of the heat dies down or stand up and be a martyr for the cause. As a female, you can empathize with her and the struggle to make a decision. The double standard is frustrating, the broken trust is enough to make you never date again, and the shame makes it feel like life is over. Miles was a supportive hero who truly wanted to help Tori. He was furious about what happened to her, but wants her to make the decision about how to proceed. They quickly go from enemies to lovers. Miles is more of a beta hero; he is a nerdy guy who spends his time working on his inventions. Tori is so brash and outgoing, her personality overshadows Miles’ at times. While I thought the conflict of the book was remarkable and timely, I wasn’t 100% sold on the love story. The sex scenes felt repetitive and I found myself skimming. I didn’t experience this in the previous Wolff book I read, so this might be an anomaly.

About Tracy Wolff

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.

And for all of those who want the unedited version:
Tracy Wolff lives with four men, teaches writing to local college students and spends as much time as she can manage immersed in worlds of her own creation. Married to the alpha hero of her dreams for twelve years, she is the mother of three young sons who spend most of their time trying to make her as crazy as possible.

  1. I really like the conflict this author places in this story and I feel like its one that most people could relate with. I get so frustrated with the double standard as well and I like that this author uses this as a set up.
